Puffy, inflamed, overweight, with uneven skin and dark circles. Yes, I know nobody looks good on official pictures. But this one always saddens me so much. Because I know, that above all, I've been lost, confused, helpless and lacking self-confidence.

 

Sending so much love to this overwhelmed girl I used to be!

FAST FORWARD TO 30..

I got pregnant easily but lost the baby at 10 weeks. Plunging into depression, I became OBSSESED with becoming pregnant again. After much heartbreak, we conceived, but instead of happiness, I was consumed by anxiety over a potential miscarriage, compounded by relentless nausea throughout most of my pregnancy. It was then I stopped drinking tap water, which triggered instant vomiting. Little did I know, this was a sign of a high toxic burden, a condition often linked by biohackers to nausea during pregnancy... Since 80% of "healthy" foods made me nauseous, I resorted to eating pasta and croissants, gaining 15 kg in the process...I assumed it was just baby weight so I'd lose it quickly...

FROM 16 YEARS OLD, I'VE BEEN BATTLING CYSTIC ACNE

Initially, I dismissed it as typical teenage thing, but it only worsened, leading me down a costly path of "miracle" creams and dermatologists. At 19, frustrated by the lack of results, I was given contraceptive pills to "balance my hormones". The result? You can see it on previous picture - weight gain, puffiness, and unmanageable mood swings. After five months, I ditched the pill, only for the acne to return with a vengeance. Desperate, I tried every potion and cream, even burning my skin so badly that I needed two weeks off work. Yet, the acne persisted. The worst flare-ups coincided with a month-long bout of constipation, belly pain, bloating... but I still hadn't yet connected the dots that this all is related...

FAST FORWARD TO 33..

On first birthday of my son, as a new mom overwhelmed by postpartum realities, I realized that motherhood had stripped me of my vitality. My diet spiraled, my energy plummeted, and I was lost in the role of a mother, without a trace of the woman I once knew. 

Overweight (guess what - I didn't lose that baby weight after all), lost, devout of purpose and hysterical - I became everything that I feared. 

It was then that my life took a drastic turn as I started googling how to get my health and mojo FINALLY back. By miraculous coincidence - I stumbled upon Dave Asprey's book "Smarter not Harder"

TODAY

Ever since I stumbled upon biohacking in January 2023, I invested in courses, devoured books, and attended conferences, learning to rebuild my life one small change at a time.

I went from feeling overwhelmed and lethargic to being energetic, losing weight sustainably, and overcoming issues like hormonal acne, excessive hair loss, multitude of digestive issues and brain fog.

 

Through this ebook series, I share the exact strategies that helped me regain control of my body and health.

Biohacking Mum's nutrition guide is really useful. I have already started preparing more protein-packed, healthier meals for my family after reading this book. I also know now what to look out for when buying protein sources and healthy fats. The book also provides info on adapting your diet to your menstrual cycle. I have not found detailed information like this anywhere else! The book also provides tips specifically for Mums, which I will certainly use in the future. The book overall is well-researched; I fully recommend it!

This is so-so useful! There are concepts in this e-book that I've never heard about before. As I try to make transition to a healthier diet and lifestyle for my family, having this ebook makes it so much easier and less overwhelming as where to start. Definitely recommended!

I'm not a new mum but definitely would love to have that e-book when I became one! Or actually, this is such a useful resource, I wish I had known this in my 20s - would have saved so much confusion, pain and wasted effort down the line. I especially liked the section about syncing your lifestyle to your cycle - such an alien concept to boomer generation that I am, but I find it so natural and obvious now that I think about it! I only wish I would stumble upon it sooner - but as they say, better now than never!
